The Church of St. James the Elder in Stodůlky stands on a small hill near Stodůlky Metro Station and is located along the historic Royal Route from Prague to Karlštejn. Its first documented written mention dates back to 1292. Above the church, a bronze statue of Rusalka by Kurt Gebauer was erected in Kovářova Street in 1989. Stodůlky Metro Station is an accessible station on Prague Metro Line B.

Culture

The Chapel of the Finding of the Holy Cross in Stodůlky was built between 1743 and 1754. Letohrádek královny Anny, a chateau, is located in the surroundings of Stodůlky. The Rudolfinum Gallery is a museum there; Palác Kinských is a palace there, and The Golz-Kinsky Palace is as well.

Activities

Central Park runs along the Prokopský potok stream and continues towards Jeremiášova Street, the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Nová Ves, and into the Prokopské údolí valley. It has a network of paths, two wooden footbridges, and a stone bridge over the Prokopský potok stream, and is used for walks and sporting activities.

Nature

Stodůlecký rybník pond is a defining landscape feature of Central Park in Stodůlky. The surroundings of Stodůlky also include Veslařský ostrov, Slovanský ostrov, and Velké Benátky; all three are islands. Doutnáč is a mountain in the wider regional surroundings of Stodůlky.
