Ďáblice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

In Ďáblice, the Ďáblický háj and Ládví, the village conservation area of Staré Ďáblice, the Ďáblice Observatory and other nearby destinations are among the area’s special attractions. Natural surroundings, historic buildings and culture shape the diverse facets of the locality.

Nature and landscape

Ďáblický háj covers 68 hectares and lies in the cadastral areas of Ďáblice and Kobylisy. Two hiking trails and cycling routes run through the area. A former quarry in Ďáblický háj features outdoor fitness equipment, several children’s playgrounds and a picnic area with a fire pit.

Ládví is 359 metres high and the highest point in northern Prague. At the same time, Ládví is a geological natural monument. Buližník was once quarried in the area; the rock blocks were smoothed when the hill was surrounded by the sea.

History and culture

Staré Ďáblice has been a village conservation area since 1991. The Castle Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity and Saint Wenceslas has a fresco of Saint Wenceslas from the second half of the 18th century on its square vault.

Ďáblice Chateau stands on the site of a former fortress. The two-winged, single-storey Baroque building was rebuilt after the fire of 1755. The Battistova brickworks was declared an immovable cultural monument in 1996.

Places in the Prague area

The Ďáblice Observatory, built in 1956, stands on a rocky outcrop of Ládví at an altitude of 325 metres above sea level and continues to serve the general public to this day.

The area around Ďáblice includes the Stará kanalizační čistírna Praha-Bubeneč Museum, The Golz-Kinsky Palace, Palác Kinských and the Galerie Rudolfinum Museum. Also nearby are the Petřínská rozhledna observation tower, the Velké Benátky island, Slovanský ostrov island and the Praha Botanical Garden.
