Wlastiborsch: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Vlastiboř is located near the valley of the Kamenice River and on the eastern slope of Strážník Mountain. Part of Vlastiboř lies in a valley sloping eastward, formed by the slopes of Strážník and Veselka. Because of its proximity to the Kamenice valley, recreational use predominates in Vlastiboř. On weekdays, the village has bus connections.

History

The settlement of Vlastiboř was established during the Czech colonization of the area around Železný Brod in the 14th and 15th centuries. The first written mention of Vlastiboř is dated to copies of the tax registers of the Návarov estate from 1565. The 1565 copies of the tax registers mention seven farmers in the village of Wlastiborz.

Places of Remembrance

A partisan sculpture group stands near the Sokolovna in Vlastiboř. From there, a green-marked hiking trail leads via a forester's lodge to the partisan dugout. The partisan dugout was built in 1944 by the Konstantin partisan group; at its entrance stands a granite pylon from 1974 with a commemorative plaque.

Another notable local structure in Vlastiboř is a recently restored bell tower. Vlastiboř is also home to a monument to the victims of the First World War of 1914–1918. The well-known Bozkov Caves are located in the vicinity of Vlastiboř.
