Krásný Les: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

History

The Church of Saint Helena in Krásný Les is an example of early Gothic ecclesiastical architecture in the Frýdlantsko region. The original church has preserved an almost square nave, a trapezoidal presbytery area adjoining it to the east, and a low sacristy.

Tradition

Every year on Christmas Day, the SPUNT Liberec association presents a live astronomical clock at the water mill, accompanied by a tasting of homemade products.

Nature

The mountains of Hřebenáč, Špičák, Měděnec and Poledník lie in the vicinity of Krásný Les. Hadí kopec is a geomorphologically distinctive basalt massif divided by the Lomnice River and featuring examples of columnar jointing. Lípa u Ticháčků is located on the southern edge of Krásný Les near house no. 269.

Culture

In the wider regional area around Krásný Les are Czocha Castle - Zamek XIVw. and Gryf Castle. The same wider regional area is also home to the Kraftwerk Hagenwerder ruin and the historic ruin of the Former Lauban Railway Substation.
