Fojtka: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Fojtka lies entirely within the Jizerské hory Protected Landscape Area. The Fojtka Reservoir is situated on the Fojtka stream on the border between Mníšek and Fojtka and connects the locality with a distinctive landscape and aquatic environment.
Nature and Water
The dam of the Fojtka Reservoir is made of rubble masonry and is 146 metres long. On summer days, the reservoir is used for swimming. The Fojtka Reservoir is also listed as one of the sights along the Žulovou stezkou.
The Fojtecký mokřad natural monument protects high-quality wetland vegetation with frequent occurrences of the specially protected species vachty trojlisté, as well as zábělník bahenní, a species listed in the Red List. The protected area also includes an adjacent wet meadow where the specially protected species prstnatec májový and listenatý occur.
Landscape
Ostrý and Brdo are mountains in the vicinity of Fojtka. Kančí vrch and Ptači vrchy are mountains in the surrounding area of Fojtka. Dračí vrch is 675 metres high and is a viewpoint.
Routes
The U medvěda cycle route connects Krásná Studánka with Fojtka and joins cycle route 3006 directly in Fojtka. The Žulovou stezkou passes via the lower crossroads of Fojtka and by a former granite quarry.
Culture
Czocha - Zamek XIVw., a castle, is located in the wider regional surroundings of Fojtka. Kraftwerk Hagenwerder, a ruin, is also located there. Kaple Nejsvětější Trojice is a church in the wider regional surroundings of Fojtka, as is Valdštejn.
