Zelenecká Lhota: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Zelenecká Lhota combines religious heritage, local history and the landscape along the Bukovinský stream. Chapels, monuments, living traditions and the Ryba pond create a distinctive local setting with many specific historical and geographical points of reference.
Culture and Local History
The stone Calvary group Boží muka in Zelenecká Lhota was built in 1773 at the expense of the municipality. To restore it, it was removed in 2008 and ceremonially reconsecrated on 12 September 2009. The Calvary group on a pedestal is a registered immovable cultural monument dating from 1772 and is considered an example of late Baroque sculpture. It was restored in 2008 and again in 2018–2019 after the statue of the Virgin Mary was damaged during an attempted theft.
The first lime trees were planted around Boží muka in 1775. The Chapel of the Holy Trinity in Zelenecká Lhota was built in 1910; it bears a memorial plaque commemorating the soldiers who fell in the First World War of 1914–1918. The cemetery on Příhon was also established in 1908 and consecrated on 28 June 1908.
A pilgrimage is held in Zelenecká Lhota on the Feast of the Holy Trinity. An amateur theatre group was also founded here in 1919. The cadastral area contains a fruit-drying facility regarded as a distinctive agricultural building type; it is also a protected immovable cultural monument and a relatively rare form of construction from fruit-growing regions.
