Activities

The Pec pod Sněžkou ski resort includes the Funline with banked turns, terrain waves and a tunnel. The Javor Live Park offers children and beginners a learning area, as well as ski equipment rental and a ski school.

The “Okolo Pece” walking trail begins at the square by Hospoda na Peci; along the way, information boards explain the history of the mountain town of Pec pod Sněžkou.

Nature and Culture

Obří důl is a nature reserve where, among other plants, alpine pasque flowers and butterbur grow. A marked trail leads through Obří důl to Obří sedlo and onward to Sněžka. The chapel in Obří důl contains photographs and texts about the natural disaster of 29 July 1897; the “Mrtvé dřevo v živém lese” educational trail begins at the chapel.

The KRNAP Information Centre in Pec pod Sněžkou organises guided excursions for groups of five or more with a qualified and experienced guide. The Hnědý vrch lookout tower offers views of the main ridge of the Krkonoše Mountains, including Luční hora, Studniční hora, Sněžka and Růžová hora. The Pec pod Sněžkou–Hnědý vrch cable car takes visitors almost all the way to the lookout tower.

Food and Wellness

Pecký Pivovar offers guided brewery tours with tastings of its own beers and other culinary specialities. Pecký Pivovar also offers beer baths in a whirlpool tub or on a heated double bed.
