Tlustice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Letiště Hořovice is located south of the built-up area of Tlustice. It is used for recreational skydiving.

Landscape and Village Character

Tlustice is situated in a flat landscape and has a spacious village square with plenty of greenery and two bodies of water. The Stroupinský stream forms part of Tlustice’s natural cadastral boundary.

History and Culture

Tlustice was first mentioned in writing in 1320. In 1336, the village belonged to the villages associated with the domain of Žebrák Castle.

A chapel stands on the village square in Tlustice; it is a cultural heritage value of heritage-conservation interest that is not registered in the central heritage list. The school building from 1937 is also a cultural heritage value of heritage-conservation interest that is not registered in the central heritage list. The Staročeské máje are described as a traditional event in Tlustice.

Cycling Route and Other Activities

Cycling route 303, “In the Footsteps of the Czech Kings”, passes through Tlustice. Neither a marked hiking trail nor any other marked educational trail passes through the village. Wagrann Tlustice riding stable offers equestrian lessons.

Transport

Public passenger transport in Tlustice is provided predominantly by buses. There is neither a railway line nor a railway station in the area of Tlustice.
