Svojetice is connected to the educational trail “Po stopách kameníků”, which is approximately 25 km long in total and passes through six villages: Louňovice, Struhařov, Svojetice, Srbín, Mukařov and Žernovka.
Culture
The 13 stations along the educational trail convey the history of granite mining and, above all, its processing by stonemasons. Svojetice is also home to the Obec Baráčníků, the oldest association in the village that is still active.
In the wider regional surroundings of Svojetice are Práče Fortress, the Palác Kinských palace, The Golz-Kinsky Palace and the Galerie Rudolfinum museum.
Nature
Voděradské bučiny is a nature reserve crossed by several hiking and cycling trails. The Vysoký les hill [Klokočná] is located in the immediate vicinity of Svojetice. The surrounding area also includes the (Na Marjánce) hill [Zvánovice], the Skalka hill [Strančice-Předboř] and the Dolánka hill [Tismice].
Routes
The circular route “Okruh přes Voděradské bučiny a naučnou stezku Klokočná” passes through Svojetice and the Voděradské bučiny National Nature Reserve.
Another route is the “Cesta kocoura Mikeše”. It is 25 km long and leads from Hrusice to Mukařov. Since spring 2023, it has comprised 14 stations with panels containing excerpts from Ladov’s book about the cat Mikeš; stone kilometre markers stand between them.
