Pašinka: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

About 700 m south of Pašinka, the Pašinka climbing sector stretches along both banks of the Polepka (Chotouchovský Stream).

Climbing and Trails

The Skála u Kohoutova mlýna sector features an 18 m-high rock face with 57 climbing routes. The Polepy educational trail also runs through the surrounding area: it was designed for both walkers and cyclists, is easy, and has virtually no changes in elevation.

Culture and History

Pašinka Fortress is not accessible, but it is listed under number 47073/2–830 in the Central Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. What remains of it is primarily a three-storey square tower with a Baroque roof covered with wooden shingles.

The wayside shrine of the Holy Trinity in Pašinka, built of rubble stone, is freely accessible and was probably erected at the beginning of the 19th century. Its location is associated with a local legend: in 1349, the son of Vladik Vindervein, the owner of the local fortress, and the daughter of Vladik Buzek of the Lipanský family are said to have taken their own lives there. After 1922, the painter Václav Radimský lived in Pašinka and drew inspiration from the Polabí and Kolín regions.

Landscape

The Pašinka lime tree is protected for its aesthetic appearance, growth, and role as a dominant feature of the landscape in connection with a cultural monument. The wayside shrine of the Holy Trinity and the Pašinka commemorative lime tree together form a significant landscape-defining ensemble.
