Přelíc combines sacred architectural history with traces of a much older past. The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Přelíc is a building from the second half of the 14th century. At the main entrance, it has a Romanesque portal made of marlstone, richly decorated with 23 quatrefoil motifs.
Culture and History
A pagan burial ground was excavated near Přelíc in 1894. This burial ground, discovered in 1894, provides evidence of prehistoric settlement in the area.
In the western part of the cemetery in Přelíc stands a hexagonal wooden belfry from the 17th century on a stone base. Its largest bell was cast in 1679 by the Prague bell founder Bedřich Schönfeld. The middle bell dates from 1486 and bears a relief of Saint Peter.
Nature and Trails
Přelíc lies on the edge of Džbán Nature Park. A green-marked hiking trail runs through Přelíc. Džbán Nature Park was established in 1994.
