Water and Leisure

The swimming pool in Neratovice has a newly renovated non-swimmer pool with numerous water attractions and a slide. In addition to swimming, the area offers mini golf, table tennis and other games; the necessary equipment can be hired. There is also a new paddling pool with interesting water features.

Nature and Exercise

The Elbe flows through Neratovice. Its banks are ideal for walking, cycling and relaxing in nature. Neratovice lies in the heart of the Polabská nížina, a region characterised by a flat landscape. Along the Elbe, there are level routes suitable for less experienced cyclists and walkers. Neratovice and its surroundings offer a dense network of cycle paths across the predominantly flat terrain of the Polabská nížina, providing easy rides as well as longer tours into nature or to historical sights.

The Lesní naučná tělocvična Neratovice comprises six stations on the edge of the Skala woodland along a green-marked hiking trail between Lobkovice and Kojetice. Each station has a QR code leading to questions about nature; these questions change every month.

Near Neratovice, in the direction of Mělník, lies the Kopeč Nature Reserve. It protects dry-loving plant communities and rock outcrops with rare and endangered species of plants, fungi, insects, heat-loving spiders and snails.

Pískovna Mlékojedy is used as a popular swimming spot in summer. During the summer, it is brought to life by the Beach Bar Mlékojedy; the Pískovna hosts numerous holiday events involving music, sport and other activities.

Culture and History

Lobkovice served as a summer residence for the Palacký family, who found time to relax there during walks along the Elbe. František Palacký spent part of his life in Lobkovice, in a nearby chateau, where he wrote part of his important historical work. The grounds of the church in Lobkovice contain the tomb of František Palacký.

Arrival and Orientation

Neratovice railway station is served by railway lines 070 (Praha-Čakovice–Turnov), 074 (Čelákovice–Neratovice) and 092 (Neratovice–Kralupy nad Vltavou). Access to the station building, including the passenger shelter and ticket counter, is step-free.
