Lochovice lies in the Litavka valley. At the heart of the town stands the four-winged late Renaissance Lochovice Chateau, built on the site of an earlier fortress and later remodelled. The chateau is protected as a cultural monument. The chateau grounds include a park, gardens and a pond. The chateau is open to the public only in connection with occasional cultural events.

Culture and history
The entrance garden on the northern side of the chateau, known as Šance, was laid out on the site of the original fortifications. The archaeological site at Lochovice Chateau also contains documented or well-founded suspected archaeological finds.
The history of the town also includes the present-day Baroque Church of St Andrew, which dates from 1654. The former Gothic church, dedicated to Saint Stanislaus, was destroyed during the Thirty Years’ War. The Church of St Andrew stands on a lawn in the western part of Lochovice’s square. South of its presbytery stands a sandstone column with a statue of the Virgin Mary.
At the southern edge of Lochovice lies the Na Stráži hillfort, an archaeological site on a spur above the right bank of the Litavka. It is located between the Litavka and the road to Lhotka. The hillfort covered approximately 7 hectares and consisted of three parts.
Another trace of the past is the healing spring of the former spa in Lochovice. It is still located next to a chapel on the grounds of Domov Lochovice. A chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary was built at the healing spring in Lochovice in 1757–1758.
Landscape and trails
Trails and opportunities for walks also begin directly in Lochovice. The Lochovická Třicítka starts in front of Lochovice railway station. From Lochovice, you can follow the circular trail and educational trail “From Jince to Brdy Olympus”. The nearby forests on Plešivec, Ostrý and in Koncipudy offer opportunities for pleasant walks.
