Čitluk: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture and History

Čitluk is home to the protected archaeological site of Aequum, a colony of Roman veterans founded in the mid-1st century. The documented remains include a forum with a Capitolium, baths, cult buildings, and sections of the eastern and southern city gates. They also include fragments of a monumental sculpture of Hercules and a statue of Diana Lucifera.

Landscape

Čitluk is located on the Cetina River at the edge of Hrvatačko polje and extends across the surrounding hills and depressions toward Jasensko. The landscape is characteristic of the Zagora and the Cetinska krajina.
