Culture

The parish church of St Nicholas in Bajagić was built in 1937 from natural stone in the Neo-Romanesque style; as the Neo-Romanesque Church of Saint Nicholas in Bajagić, it is also part of the Aequum Track. Early medieval graves were accidentally discovered near this church at Banova Draga.

The grave goods include ceramic vessels, arrowheads, spurs, knives, spears and sickles. The finds indicate burials with elements of a pagan ritual.

A medieval cemetery lies by the Malin stream and is considered a protected cultural monument. It is provisionally dated to the Classical Old Croatian period between the 9th and 12th centuries. The gravestones and stone slabs that were once visible are presumed to lie underground.

The annual mačkare carnival procession in Bajagić includes carnival bells and accompanying rituals; at the same time, it is an intangible cultural tradition of the villages of Podkamešnica.

The Kravarica Cave is located nearby, north of Bajagić. Prehistoric and medieval finds have been recorded there. The cave contains pottery fragments from the Early and Middle Bronze Ages; its two entrances are named Pećina Kravarica and Pećica.
