At the Mijoljača archaeological site in Brnaze, a late medieval cemetery with 109 excavated graves was located above the remains of an early medieval church with six apses.
The remains of the Old Croatian Church of Saint Michael can be found in Mioljača, including six apses dating from the 9th or 10th century. Archaeological finds include stone furnishings from the Old Croatian church, part of an Early Christian altar screen, and several ancient monuments. The Church of Saint Michael was probably built on the foundations of an Early Christian church.

Religious References
The new parish church of Saint Nicholas Tavelić was blessed and brought into liturgical use on 1 May 2023. It was built on the site of the former church, which had been constructed in 1972, and has a 40.5-metre-high bell tower with four bells and a cross.
The “Kukuzovac–Shrine Sinj” section of the “Our Lady of Sinj” route passes through Brnaze’s first houses.
Traditions and Events
KUD Brnaze was founded in 1975 and preserves traditional customs, original and choreographed dances, and songs. Historical-Christian traces can be found on Brnaška glavica.
The Brnaški dernek takes place regularly in Meljača. It is a local cultural festival featuring traditional sports, a children’s Alka competition, folklore performances, performances by amateur singers, and demonstrations of historical agricultural practices.
Konjički klub Alamo offers a riding school, recreational riding, and organised riding gatherings for visitor groups. The Pokladno jahanje in Brnaze had reached its fifth edition; it was organised by Udruga Naše Brnaze.
Geographical Location
Brnaze is located on the Split–Sinj–Knin road axis. The village is also connected at the junction with the Brnaze–Trilj–Imotski road.
