Culture
The rural Vuletića staje ensemble is a protected cultural and historical ensemble dating from the 18th century. During the summer grazing season, the Vuletića staje formed a subsidiary settlement for people and livestock.
The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Vuletići was built in 1790, and its small bell tower followed in 1791. The Vuletić complex includes this chapel; the complex dates from the 18th century and displays pronounced defensive features.
The old parish church of Saint John the Baptist is listed in the Croatian Register of Cultural Goods under registration number Z-4628. Its main altar is a carved, polychrome wooden altar from the 18th or 19th century and is listed as a protected movable cultural asset. The altar of Saint John of Nepomuk bears carved vine motifs on its wooden columns.
An ornate stećak depicts a mounted hunter aiming a spear ready to be thrown at a fleeing deer.
Tradition
For a long time, the gusle was the only instrument played in Dobranje, until a church harmonium was acquired in the 1970s. Ganga is considered one of the folk song forms characteristic of Dobranje.
Church services in the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk are held exclusively on the saint’s feast day, 16 May.
