Culture and History
At the entrance to the settlement stands a small Baroque church, the Church of Saint Michael, the patron saint of Lovranska Draga. The Oporovina archaeological site is located in the Lovranska Draga area. Prehistoric human remains were found there in 1929; Učka Nature Park describes it as the first prehistoric site discovered in the Kvarner area.
In the immediate vicinity of Lovranska Draga are Grnjac, Straževni, Suhi Vrh, Vojak and Sveti Frančisk. The surrounding area is also home to Maiden With The Seagull, a statue by Zvonko Car, as well as the Župna crkva Navještenja Blažene Djevice Marije. Trsatska Gradina is located farther away in the wider region.
Local Traditions
The agricultural traditions of Lovranska Draga include the cultivation of cherries and sweet chestnuts. Repa i fažol, a dish made with turnips and beans, is traditionally served for the feast of Saint Michael.
