Culture
The archaeological site of Municipium Flavium Fulfinum and Mirine includes the remains of a Roman town from the second half of the 1st century and an early Christian basilica from the 5th century.
At Fulfinum, recognisable remains of Roman buildings have been preserved. These include excavated areas of the forum with a forum temple, a basilica and tabernae.
The Basilica of Mirine has a restored and partially reconstructed narthex. It houses an exhibition of movable archaeological material and an early Christian sarcophagus preserved in situ.
The Lapidarij Gallery displays a movable cultural heritage collection connected with the monuments preserved in situ around the Parish Church of the Assumption. The exhibits include an inscription from AD 94 documenting the construction of the Fulfinum aqueduct, as well as a tombstone from 1477 with a Glagolitic inscription and symbols of abbatial dignity.
Fortičina is a historic site situated on a hill; the remains of a castle connected with the princes of Krk have been preserved there. The castle was used in the late 12th and 13th centuries. The Omišalj rose window was made from a single stone and dates from 1405.
