Gradinje: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

For travelers wishing to rent a holiday apartment, Gradinje is initially above all a place at the bottom of a deep, steep gorge that slopes down toward the valley of the Mirna River. The surrounding slopes feature terraced areas where olives, grapevines, and vegetables are cultivated.

Culture

The “St Anthony the Hermit” chapel in Gradinje dates from the 17th century. It was built on the site of an earlier church dating from 1521 and has a bell gable as well as a porch supported by wooden columns.

Below Gradinje on the Mirna lies the former Komarnjak watermill. It is documented as early as 1377.
