Culture
Mrgani preserves the character of a well-preserved rural ensemble. The village contains former elements of Dvigrad, including a stone slab depicting two birds and the year 1245.
Those who choose Mrgani as a travel destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Dvigrad Castle is located in the vicinity of Mrgani. Via the official route that runs through Mrgani, Dvigrad can be reached as a protected cultural monument with chapels and churches dating from the Byzantine and Baroque periods.
The Limski Kanal archaeological site, with remains of ancient architecture and floor mosaics, is located within the cadastral area of Mrgani. The Chapel of St. Ilija is also located within the cadastral area; it is listed in the municipal planning document under protection code Z-588.
Cycling
The official “Captain Morgan and the Ghost Town” cycle route runs through Mrgani and follows the Kanfanar–Žminj–Limska draga–Barat–Mrgani–Dvigrad–Kanfanar circuit. The route is suitable for mountain bikes, e-bikes and trekking bikes.
Cycle route 282, “Tour from Kanfanar”, also passes through Mrgani. Its circuit connects Kanfanar, Vrsar, the Lim Canal and Kanfanar again.
Geographical Location
Mrgani lies approximately halfway between Kanfanar and the Lim Canal, near the ruins of Dvigrad.

The surrounding area of Mrgani includes Soardo-Bembo Palace, Škaraba, Sveti Mihovil, Sveti Andrija, Veliki Breg, Veštar and Otočić Pulari.
