Kraj Drage is part of the official 403 Liburnia cycling route, a 71-kilometre circuit from Raša via Čepić, Kršan and Martinski back to Raša.

The Liburnia Cycle Route completes its circuit via Barbići and a fire service track to the Liburna nature reserve. Its surface combines asphalt and gravel.

Landscape and cuisine

Within the municipality, Trail 861 runs as a ten-kilometre hiking route. It connects vineyards, freshwater ponds and traditional Istrian cuisine.

Along Trail 861, OPG Giovanna Allegra serves visitors traditional Istrian dishes.

Kalić Dužica is one of the few remaining freshwater habitats along Trail 861. The Šumberske dine are marl formations shaped by erosion.

Culture

The Church of Our Lady of Dren near the Šumber cemetery was restored in the 18th and 19th centuries and is in good condition. The local Petangošt festival is also associated with it.

On the edge of Šumber, above the Raša Canyon, stands the parish church of St John and Paul. It was built in 1679; two side chapels were added in 1705.

The Gothic Church of St Quirinus at the Šumber cemetery was remodelled during the Baroque period and is in good condition.

In the surrounding area, access to Kožljak Castle leads over steps carved into the solid rock. The remains of the complex include walls, two semicircular towers, a prison and the Romanesque Church of St Hadrian.

Kožljak Castle is located on the old road that connected ancient Histria with Liburnia. The Liburnia Way also reaches Kršan, a fortified settlement whose ruins can be explored on foot.

Dubro Sculpture Park is a 33-hectare open-air gallery with 68 sculptures and 16 sections of the White Road. The park is open year-round, around the clock; admission is free.

Artistic performances, concerts, theatre and other events for visitors take place in the Dolac amphitheatre of the sculpture park.

Kaštel Šumber is a polygonal fortress enclosed by walls and defended by two round half-towers.

Geographical setting

Sveta Nedelja lies on a plateau 250 to 300 metres above sea level, above the Raša river valley in the hinterland of Labin. The area stretches from the river towards the sea. Rabac is approximately ten kilometres away and connects the area with the coastal part of Istria.

The surrounding area includes the Liburna nature reserve, with native local domestic animals and tame donkeys. An ethnographic collection of old tools can also be found there.

Raša was built in 1936 as a modern town for miners and their families. St Barbara's Church houses a collection of mining artefacts.

The entrance to the tunnel through which the former Lake Čepić was drained can also be visited.
