Kerestinec: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture and history
Erdödy Castle in Kerestinec is a Renaissance-Baroque castle built by the Erdödy counts. The former moat was once filled with water from nearby streams; a drawbridge led to the northern entrance.
The stone gravestone of the Roman official “Pontius”, dating from the 3rd century AD, was found near Kerestinec in the late 19th century. The original Pontius monument has been kept at the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb since 1896; a replica is displayed in the centre of Kerestinec.
The Pontius monument is said to have been carved by a local master. It was erected on the Roman road near Kerestinec that connected Emona (Ljubljana) and Siscia (Sisak).
Religious sites
The parish church in Kerestinec contains the altar fresco “Kerestinečko uskrsnuće”, created by the artist Marijan Jakubin in 2003. The parish church has ten stained-glass windows; their designs were created by Željka Bašlin, and they were executed by the academic sculptor Jure Žaja.
There is a Stations of the Cross on the parish grounds in Kerestinec. The paths were designed by the town of Sveta Nedelja, while the stations were donated by individual believers. A Lourdes chapel was also built in Kerestinec next to a hall for 40 to 50 people.
