Mala Erpenja: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Mala Erpenja is the setting for the Mala Erpenja Trek, featuring three trail and trekking distances: Jagodica bobica over 6–8 km, Šumska jagoda over 10–12 km, and Divlja jagoda over 20–25 km.

Nature

The Erpenjska Pisanica is considered a traditional trail race and is part of the Zagorje Running League. During the 2026 race, the Društveni dom at Mala Erpenja 139A served as the registration, start, and finish location.

The marked Dubrovčan–Ravnice–Velika Erpenja–Tuheljske Toplice trail passes through Mala Erpenja on the return journey toward Tuheljske Toplice and takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.

On the return journey, the marked Round Tuheljske Toplice loop follows the ridge between Mala Erpenja and Kuharov jarak.

The 2026 Mala Erpenja Trek also included children's races over 300 and 500 meters, as well as creative workshops, games, inflatable play equipment, and face painting. A total of 595 entries were recorded for the 14th edition of the Mala Erpenja Trek.

Culture

The Chapel of Majka Božja Bistrička stands in the center of Mala Erpenja. It was built in 1915 by the Šoštarić brothers as a vow after their return from the Galician Front.

Landscape

Mala Erpenja consists of scattered hamlets along the valley of the Erpenjščica, a tributary of the Horvatska.

Local

At the 2026 Mala Erpenja Trek, visitors could sample fruit brandies from Vinarija Petrovečki. The Etno sekcija Kubure Male Erpenje prepared homemade cakes for the trek.
