Merichleri has thermomineral waters with a reported flow rate of 30 litres per second and a temperature of 35.4 °C. The historical name of the mineral water is Solentsi, referring to its salty taste and the mineral salts formed through natural evaporation. The Solentsi mineral spring is Merichleri’s largest natural landmark.
Thermal Water
Solentsi water is highly mineralised, is used for drinking cures and is rich in trace elements. The town also has an Olympic-size swimming pool supplied with water from the Solentsi spring. Because of its highly mineralised water, Merichleri is associated with modest opportunities for balneotherapy tourism.
Culture

Its subjects include the history of Merichleri, domestic life, agriculture and agricultural implements, as well as mining, the history of mineral water, folk costumes and archaeological finds.
History
The Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker was built in 1858 on the site of a chapel dedicated to Saint Nicholas. It is one of the first churches in the Haskovo Province.
