Culture and History
Diskoduratere near Gostilitsa was a Roman roadside station founded between AD 176 and 180. The site developed into a trading centre for merchants and craftsmen and is designated as a nationally significant architectural and constructional cultural monument from antiquity and the Middle Ages.

Festivals and Customs
The Pumpkin Festival takes place in Gostilitsa in November. The festival is dedicated to Gostilitsa’s culinary heritage and is also a music festival combining songs, dances and local humour.
The Yalova Ponuda custom is reenacted in Gostilitsa every year. It is dedicated to fertility and is intended for childless brides. Yalova Ponuda is also associated with the local cultural celebrations in the Dryanovo area.
The Gostilovski Babi folklore group is reported to reenact traditional customs.
