The history of Suxy dates back to the Middle Ages. In 1286, Louis V, Count of Chiny, founded a priory in Suxy and entrusted it to the Canons Regular of the Order of the Holy Cross from Huy. The Priory of Suxy was demolished in 1884. The village itself was founded around a chapel that the Count of Chiny had built in honour of Saint Thibaut.

The later history of the village includes the Eglise Saint-Thibaut, which was built in 1774. Its baptismal font, made of blue limestone in the Meuse-region style, dates from 1624. These historical details bring Suxy’s development to life and can be meaningfully combined with a stay in nature.
