The Worriken Sports and Holiday Park is located on the shore of the 120-hectare Lake Bütgenbach and is surrounded by woodland. The Vita programme includes, among other things, a high ropes course, a zip line and archery. At VENNtastic Beach, sit-on-top kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and pedal boats are available for hire. Local History on Two Circular Routes

The Bütgenbach Historical Circular Route includes ten information panels. They explain the history of the town as well as the lives and work of its people. There are two routes for the circular walk through Bütgenbach and Berg; it begins at the Bütgenbach Tourist Info, and an accompanying leaflet uses a map to describe the route to ten stations. Individual buildings also give Bütgenbach a historical character. St. Stephen's Church, built by Henri Cunibert in the Neo-Romanesque style in 1932, contains old tomb slabs, the epitaph of Johann Reinhard von Bulich from the second half of the 16th century, the Reiffenberg epitaph, furniture from a destroyed 15th-century chapel and a 13th-century baptismal font. Bütgenbach Manor is a listed former castle courtyard from the 15th century that has been restored several times over the centuries.

During the Ardennes Offensive in the winter of 1944/45, it served as the headquarters of the Allied forces. Bütgenbach is also considered a starting point for tracing the Ardennes Offensive.
