Culture

The wooden Assumption Church in Sharkovshchina was built in 1912. An earlier wooden church dating from 1639 has been preserved and relocated to a new site.

The preserved former Catholic rectory in Sharkovshchina houses the local House of Crafts. The brick Church of the Icon of Our Lady of All Who Sorrow was built in 1897 in the retrospective Russian style. After it was returned to religious use in 1990, it was restored.

Another sacred building is the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. It was built between 1992 and 1995 and consecrated in 1996.

The buildings erected by the Lopatin family also form part of the local history: a masonry palace, a chapel, an orangery, and a greenhouse in Sharkovshchina.
