Orikum between Coast, History and Nature

Culture

The Archaeological Park of Orikum contains the ruins of a square monopteros building dating from the 3rd to the 2nd century BC. There is also a late antique tower on the eastern terrace of the Archaeological Park of Orikum. The ancient theatre in the park had space for approximately 500 to 600 spectators.

The Marmiroi Church was built in the 12th century. It is legally protected as a cultural monument and is visited by tourists. Its centrally vaulted design and the cruciform ground plan of its interior give the structure a clearly recognisable architectural order.
