In ancient times, an important road for central Albania ran through Dajt: Shkalla e Tujanit. It connected Durrës and Tirana with Dibra e Madhe and the interior of the Balkans. The Tujan–Zall Dajt Trail is located in Mali i Dajtit National Park and takes one hour and ten minutes.

Shkalla e Tujanit is 1.2 km long and features a karst ecosystem with caves and karst caverns on its slopes.
