History

North of the Seman River, Mbrostar is home to a bridge ensemble. At its centre, where it crosses the Seman, is the Mbrostar Iron Bridge; it is a single-span bridge and was built in 1934 by a German company. To its left is the Mbrostar Railway Bridge, which was built in 1967. To its right is the newer Mbrostar Road Bridge. It was built in the early 1980s to handle the heavy traffic on this transport artery, and is 92 metres long and 7 metres wide.

The three structures are therefore distinguished from one another by their positions, names and construction dates. Iron Bridge, Railway Bridge and Road Bridge refer to different structural contexts, while the arrangement of centre, left and right defines their spatial relationship. The dates range from 1934 through 1967 to the early 1980s. The dimensions of the newer Road Bridge add a specific size to this sequence. Thus, several named structures and different construction phases come together in an ensemble on the Seman. The single-span design describes the construction of the Iron Bridge, while the construction years record the chronological sequence of the ensemble: 1934 for the Iron Bridge, 1967 for the Railway Bridge and the early 1980s for the Road Bridge. The dimensions supplement this chronological order with the recorded size of the newer structure.

Nature

In Mbrostar Ura, the Patos-Marinëz-Bubullimë oil field is designated as a national mineralogical natural monument. The location is therefore also characterised by a clearly named mineralogical natural monument classification that expressly refers to this oil field.
