Pinamar brings together beach, forest and dunes in a landscape with many different facets. If you enjoy spending your holiday swimming, you’ll find a long, uninterrupted beach; there’s also a forest trail and the Paseo Costero. Pinamar is also home to the Casilla La Elenita, a provincial monument. When planning your trip, it’s therefore worth first considering which experiences you’d like to define your stay—and which holiday rental best suits that focus.

Make the beach and dunes your focus

Pinamar’s beaches form a 22-kilometre-long, uninterrupted stretch of golden sand. They’re well suited to relaxing and recreational swimming. If spending relaxing hours by the water is one of your top holiday priorities, this aspect of Pinamar is a compelling reason to put the destination on your shortlist.

The waterfront has 40 sustainable beach clubs. Facilities include tents and parasols, dining options, and leisure activities for all ages. This is especially appealing if members of your travel group have different ideas about what makes a great beach day. As you plan, you can make swimming and these leisure activities part of your holiday focus, rather than seeing the beach as a place just for sunbathing.

Forest trail or waterfront?

As well as the beach, Pinamar offers another way to experience the area: the “Parque de los Pioneros” is a forest trail running from Av. Bunge to Av. Shaw. It is 6.5 kilometres each way. This specific distance makes it easier to plan the trail into your day. If you enjoy covering a longer distance in the forest, you can make this outing a focus in its own right; if you’d rather stay by the waterfront, the Paseo Costero offers another option.

The Paseo Costero runs along Av. del Mar, from Av. Bunge to Eolo. Its route is therefore defined by two named endpoints. It offers a different perspective from the forest trail: here, a walk follows the waterfront, while the Parque de los Pioneros leads through the forest. This distinction is more useful when planning your holiday than thinking of Pinamar simply as a beach destination. You can consider whether the beach, forest or waterfront is the biggest draw for you.

Culture and a special experience

Pinamar also has a cultural highlight: the Casilla La Elenita is a provincial monument in Pinamar. It adds a specific site with monument status to the area’s landscape and beach attractions. If you’d like to include a monument among your interests alongside nature and swimming, its name is a useful starting point for further planning.

For a very different experience, Paracaidismo Pinamar offers tandem skydives for beginners. The jumps take place from a height of 3,000 metres. The activity is offered every weekend in winter and daily in summer. The season therefore affects when this experience is available: for a winter stay, weekends are the relevant days; in summer, it is offered daily. If skydiving is one of your travel interests, you can take this seasonal information into account when planning.
