There is also the heritage-listed building complex of Catholic Agricultural College, Bindoon. Whether you prefer cycling, discovering stories on foot or exploring historic architecture, different aspects of the town may inspire your trip.

Mountain Bike Trails and Views

Bindoon Mountain Bike Park covers 100 hectares. Views from the park include the Chittering valleys, lakes, orchards, farms, forests and the town of Bindoon. The first stage of development includes a range of trails for everyone from beginners to experienced riders. This gives cyclists of different experience levels a practical guide when choosing activities, without suggesting that all the trails are alike.

The Chinkabee Trail is in the hills just outside Bindoon. The 5 km loop is shared by cyclists and walkers. Expansive views of Bindoon and the surrounding landscape are a feature of this trail. If you want to explore the area by bike, you can choose between the trails in the Mountain Bike Park and a shared-use loop; the Chinkabee Trail is also an option for a walk.

Explore Bindoon on Foot

Clune Park is just north of Bindoon’s townsite, on the Great Northern Highway, and is the starting point for the Bindoon Townsite Heritage Walk. The park also connects the Lake Needoonga Walk with the Stonehouse Walk. These names offer different routes to guide you as you explore Bindoon on foot.

Another option is the Bindoon Tale Trail: this 1,800 m loop passes through the townsite and features information signs about local history and stories from the local community. The focus here is not only on local history, but also on community life. The signs give the loop a theme that differs from the views along the mountain bike trails.
