The Moments In Time Hike & Bike Trail also offers a 2.93-mile concrete path from Granbury Airport to Hewlett Park.

Acton Nature Center has more than five miles of well-maintained trails. The trails lead to a natural pond inhabited by croaking frogs and to the Elizabeth Crockett Memorial Butterfly and Hummingbird Garden. The Elizabeth Crockett Butterfly Trail passes through the butterfly garden and is described as offering improved accessibility for people with disabilities. On the first Saturday of each month, the Nature Center also hosts a free guided bird walk.

Discover Historic Granbury
The Hood County Courthouse is a limestone building designed by W.C. Dodson in 1890 in the French Second Empire style. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated as both a State Antiquities Landmark and a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark. The building contains an 1890 Seth Thomas clock mechanism, which the county restored to its original working condition.
Historic Granbury Square was the first courthouse square in Texas to be added to the National Register of Historic Places. Today, you will find restaurants, bars, a lively arts scene, live shows, historic museums and specialized retail there. The Granbury Opera House was built in 1886, restored and reopened in 1975. It is the venue of the Granbury Theatre Company, which stages 8 to 10 productions over the course of the year. In addition, the Hood County Jail Museum preserves a gallows room, a single cell and a main cell with a freestanding iron cage in a jail building constructed in 1885. Visiting hours are listed as Friday through Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.
Excursions, Evening Entertainment and Regional Cuisine
The Brazos Drive-In Theater has been operating since 1952 and is considered the longest continuously operating drive-in theater in Texas. Evening double features are shown there. For culinary discoveries, Granbury promotes an official Foodie Trail featuring Italian cuisine, barbecue and other types of cuisine. This allows you to combine a day at the lake, in the Nature Center or at Historic Granbury Square with a separate evening program.
