Discover Beulah
Accommodation in Beulah
Beulah offers several very different discoveries: the Mercer County Historical Museum explores the region’s history, the Pfennig Wildlife Museum displays taxidermy specimens from around the world, and Riverside Park is located along the Knife River. There are also specific places for baseball, skateboarding and golf. You can tailor your stay according to whether you are more interested in local history, wildlife or sporting activities.
Baseball and skateboarding in the town center
The SK8TERS Skatepark is in the center of Beulah, right next to Goldmann Field. Skateboarding enthusiasts will find a clear local connection here; the neighboring field adds baseball to the sporting focus. The skatepark was professionally designed by the American Ramp Company in spring 2011, with local skaters involved. Its creation brought together professional planning and participation from the Beulah community.
Goldmann Field is used for Cyclone Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball and Beulah Miner Spring Baseball. It includes a baseball field and restrooms; there is also a concession area during games. When planning your trip, it is worth distinguishing between visiting the skatepark and attending a game: the concession area is specifically available during games. The names of the baseball programs represented there offer a glimpse of how the field is used, without setting a game date for your stay.
Regional history and wildlife
The Mercer County Historical Museum offers an in-depth look at the history of Beulah and Mercer County. Its exhibits cover frontier life, the homesteads of the first settlers and early town life. These themes provide different ways to explore the region’s past: from frontier life and the farms of the first settlers to the development of the early town. If you would like to get to know Beulah through more than just activities, the museum is a destination in its own right.
The Pfennig Wildlife Museum offers a different perspective, with about 175 taxidermy specimens from around the world. Its collection focuses on wildlife and taxidermy, rather than the local and settlement history covered by the Historical Museum. Note the special access requirement for your visit: the Pfennig Wildlife Museum is open by appointment only. A museum visit cannot simply be assumed to be possible on a whim; making an appointment is part of the planning process.
Riverside Park and golf
Riverside Park covers 25 acres on the south bank of the Knife River. Its riverside location sets it apart from the museums and sports facilities. Its size and position on the south bank are two specific features that help you place the park among Beulah’s destinations. If you would like to include a riverside spot in your trip alongside exhibitions and sports, you can add Riverside Park to your list.
Golf is another option in Beulah. Black Sands Golf Club Restaurant and Lounge is a public golf course that has been operating in Beulah since 1953. It has a nine-hole course with unique bunkers made from black coal cinders—a distinctive feature that characterizes this course. Black Sands Golf Club also has a lounge, practice facility, pro shop and cart rentals. This makes the golf offering distinct from the museum exhibitions and the baseball and skateboarding venues.
When choosing a vacation rental in Beulah, you can start by considering which of these interests will shape your stay. If skateboarding and baseball are part of your plans, the skatepark’s central location next to Goldmann Field is a useful point of reference for your search. You can also factor in the museums, Riverside Park or golf as additional reasons to include these destinations in your trip plans.
You can also discover Hazen as another destination.
