Lake Sequoia has a swimming area with a swim platform, as well as a boat ramp. This brings together two different water activities at a named lake: you can plan a day of swimming or keep the boat ramp in mind as a place to launch. Lake Longleaf has a swimming beach and two picnic shelters. If you’d like to include a place to picnic on an outing by the water, you’ll find these shelters there; the swimming beach offers something different from the swim platform at Lake Sequoia.

Big Juniper also has a swimming beach, along with a swim platform and a ladder. These specific differences can help with day planning: if a beach is important to you, Longleaf and Big Juniper are the options specifically named; if you’re looking for a boat ramp, one is noted for Lake Sequoia.
