Accord: Railroad History and Local Museum
Accommodation in Accord
Accord grew from the place formerly known as Port Jackson into a local commercial and community center. Residents can explore its history at a museum with a specific street address.
Origins and Museum
Port Jackson, later Accord, was one of the villages that developed into busy commercial centers. Accord became the center of business and civic activity in the township after becoming one of Rochester’s two railroad stops. The Friends of Historic Rochester’s historic museum is at 12 Main Street in the hamlet of Accord. The historical railroad and commercial information does not establish a current rail connection for visitors.
Collections
