Sagg Main Beach

Located in Sagaponack, Sagg Main Beach has more than 1,500 feet of ocean coastline. It is the easternmost and largest beach in the Town of Southampton. A Trail Through Poxabogue County Park

Poxabogue County Park encompasses 26 acres on the north side of Poxabogue Pond. It helps protect the unique and fragile coastal plain pond ecosystem in the Long Pond Greenbelt. The landscape is not limited to a single character: a half-mile trail passes through grassland, woodland, and wetlands. This sequence makes the park a nature experience in which the different landscape sections themselves become a focus of a walk.

The park also has a nature observation platform overlooking the pond.

The Historic Center and Madoo

The Sagaponack Main Street Historic District covers about 307 acres in the Village of Sagaponack. It has been listed in the State Register since April 8, 2000, and in the National Register since June 2, 2000. The two dates refer to the respective listings. The district thus offers a historic point of interest for travelers who want to include local history in their interests alongside the coast and nature.

Madoo combines a horticulturally diverse garden with historic buildings. The artist, gardener, and writer Robert Dash created the garden in 1967 in the village of Sagaponack, New York State. With advance planning through the booking calendar, visitors can see his historic summer studio, as well as exhibitions of contemporary art and annual exhibitions of his paintings. For travelers interested in art, this is a distinct reason to plan a visit to Madoo separately.

A Tasting as Another Highlight

Sagaponack Farm Distillery adds a culinary experience to the picture of the area: guests can enjoy tasting flights in the tasting room. This is a different focus from a walk in the county park or a visit centered on gardens and art.
