The North Fork of Charrette Creek flows through the state forest for approximately two miles. In the Little Lost Creek Conservation Area, valleys and side valleys with intermittent waterfalls, ravines, and St. Peter sandstone outcrops shape the landscape. Little Lost Creek itself is a partially spring-fed Ozark stream with clear water and a rocky streambed.

The Warren County Historical Society Museum features interactive exhibits, models, presentations, and events. Live music is held on the Peers Porch on weekends from May through June and from August through October.
Katy Trail, Marthasville, and Special Excursions
Katy Trail State Park is 240 miles long and open for hiking, running, walking, and cycling. Its level crushed-limestone surface provides clear guidance when planning a bike ride or walk. The trail passes through Marthasville, where cyclists and hikers can rest, eat, or enjoy the scenery. Marthasville is located at the southernmost edge of Warren County, directly along the Missouri Weinstrasse, also called Wine Road.
