Mountain bikers, runners and hikers will find more than 14 miles of specially designed multi-use trails at Two Rivers Mountain Bike Park. The park lies at the confluence of the Finley River and James River and covers 380 acres of Ozark landscape.

The Finley River forms a scenic connection to the James River watershed. Quieter stretches of river offer opportunities to experience the Ozarks from a different perspective. The James River and its tributaries provide opportunities for kayaking and canoeing, fishing, swimming, birdwatching and wildlife viewing. At Finley River Park, walking paths, picnic areas and playgrounds round out the amenities. Access to the river also makes kayaking and fishing possible there.
At the National Tiger Sanctuary, a guided tour provides information about animal care, species conservation and ecology. The Awareness Tour lasts 45 minutes and follows a 0.25-mile trail. Along the way, visitors learn about approximately 15 to 20 big cats. Those who prefer fishing will find both take-home fishing and catch-and-release fishing at Mountain Springs Trout Park; a fishing license is not required there.
History, Craftsmanship and Regional Culture
At Finley Farms, the Ozark Mill tells the story of the region's early development. It was originally built in 1833 and offers a self-guided tour with moving machinery, educational videos and theatrical projections. The historic Riverside Bridge can be crossed on foot and offers views of the Finley River from above. An urban farm at Finley Farms supplies the restaurants there with fresh organic ingredients year-round, bringing nature, history and regional cuisine together in one place.
Other destinations also offer insight into the past and cultural life. Smallin Civil War Cave was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District on March 8, 2018. The Ray House is the only surviving residence from the Battle of Wilson's Creek. Wilson's Creek National Battlefield extends across Christian County and Greene County in Missouri and commemorates this battle.
The Christian County Museum in Ozark focuses on early industry, education, the Great Depression, local law enforcement and notable figures of the Ozarks. At Finley River Art Gallery, you can see art by artists from southwest Missouri; seasonal classes include watercolor painting, basket weaving and palette-knife painting. The Stained Glass Theatre in Ozark presents faith-based performances in a welcoming, family-friendly setting. The Ozark Craft Fair at Finley River Park has been a community fixture since 1973.
