The Cumberland County Fair and Horse Show takes place every July in the city park and includes, among other things, a horse show, 4-H exhibits, amusement rides, and a demolition derby. The Cumberland River Bluegrass Festival begins on the third Thursday in September. The program includes free bluegrass music, arts and crafts, food, a 5K run, and a river duck race.
