The visitor center includes a small exhibition area, a bookstore, restrooms, and a 30-minute introductory film. The park grounds are open from sunrise to sunset for walking, running, and cycling.
The Vincennes State Historic Sites offer further insights into the area’s history. The original Territorial Capitol was built in 1805, while the Old French House is an original French Creole-style house dating from around 1809. Grouseland was the home of William Henry Harrison and was built between 1803 and 1804. The collection includes art, furniture, and memorabilia, as well as three original portraits of Harrison. Fort Knox II was built in 1803 and served as a military installation from 1803 to 1813; today, it is located on a hill overlooking the Wabash River.

Ouabache (Wabash) Trails Park is a 254-hectare wooded park on the Wabash River. Fox Ridge Nature Park features 95 acres of trails for walking, hiking, and cycling, as well as a fishing pond. In Downtown Vincennes, the Riverwalk extends from Main Street to Hart Street and includes an observation platform for visitors.
