The “Danza de arrieros y morenos” is a cultural performance in Acayucan that reflects the mixing and influences of different cultures. Those interested in local culture can encounter both a performance reflecting cultural influences and a dance tradition associated with the patron saint’s festival.

Acayucan’s most important festival is dedicated to San Martín Obispo and takes place from November 11 to 26. On November 11, San Martín Obispo is carried in a procession through the center. The streets mentioned include Hidalgo, Porvenir, Victoria, Zaragoza and Ocampo. Carnival takes place from March 5 to 14.
