Landscape or history in Nord?
Those who primarily want to experience landscapes can view Nord as a larger regional backdrop. For days of historical discovery, on the other hand, the connections to Cap-Haïtien and Milot are particularly relevant. The accommodation search therefore begins with deciding which focus you want to set during your trip.
Cap-Haïtien and Milot as historical areas to explore
Cap-Haitien offers a historically significant point of reference with monuments and the site of Vertières. For days centered on cultural history, it makes sense to focus your accommodation search on Cap-Haïtien or compare this area with other places.
Milot is associated with the Citadelle Laferrière, a historically significant fortress dating from the 19th century. Those who make the Citadelle their historical focus can include Milot in their search as a separate place to stay and base for exploration.

Tailor your accommodation search to your travel experience
Compare Cap-Haïtien and Milot as different areas to search: Cap-Haïtien for urban and historical discoveries, and Milot for its connection to the Citadelle Laferrière. This allows you to tailor your search for a holiday apartment, holiday home or hotel to the historical focus you want to experience in Nord.
