The church’s Baroque high altar and pulpit were inaugurated in 1777; the two side altars acquired their present form in 1840 and 1882.
The church has two galleries: the upper one is intended for the organ and choir, while the lower one is for churchgoers. The present organ was built in 1984.
Ergischhorn, Alplighorn, Plattenhörner and Ginalshorn are located in the area surrounding Erschmatt. Zènèvrec is also located in the area surrounding Erschmatt.
In Erschmatt’s old village quarter, the church’s white walls and bell tower contrast with the dark wooden buildings facing south.
In 1713, Erschmatt, Bratsch and Engersch concluded an agreement with the Zug bell founder Ludwig Keiser to cast harmonised bells with a musical sound.
