Cumbel is a village in the municipality of Lumnezia in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It is located in Val Lumnezia, southwest of Ilanz.
As a linear settlement, Cumbel lies on the southeastern slope of Piz Mundaun. Since 2013, the village has politically been a fraction of the valley municipality of Lumnezia. The former municipal area covered 445 hectares: 207 hectares were agricultural land, 203 hectares were forest and wooded areas, 24 hectares were settlement areas, and 11 hectares were unproductive mountainous terrain.
Cumbel has a continental Alpine climate with abundant sunshine and little precipitation.

Culture
Cumbel was first mentioned in official records around 840. The imperial land register of Louis the Pious also mentions the Church of St. Mauritius in Valgronda.
Archaeological evidence of earlier settlement in Cumbel consists of four pre-Christian graves. Roman remains, as in the rest of Val Lumnezia, are sparse and limited to finds of coins and pottery fragments.
