The place is surrounded by woodland and meadows; farm animals graze in the immediate vicinity. Those travelling with different age groups can combine a quieter day of their stay with a visit to the countryside here. The Grettlinge gårdsbutik farm shop offers sheepskins, crafts and wool products. It also sells home-grown potatoes, onions and vegetables, as well as eggs from its own hens and quails.

Lantluft is both a farm shop and a café. It offers homemade pastries, light lunches, farm products and accommodation. The selection includes cheesecake, sea buckthorn pastries, prawn sandwiches and Gubbröra. The local history also extends into food processing: the Orkla business has a history that began in 1915 with Harry Althini's company for exporting eels. In 1930, a cannery was built in Fågelmara, where the production of pickled chicken, meat and fish products began.
