The “Horcajo-Aoslos por la ruta de los molinos y Bellidas” route is an 8-kilometre circular trail that passes through Aoslos. Some sections run along livestock trails registered by the Community of Madrid. The complete “Ruta urbana por Horcajo y Aoslos”, including the walks through both village centres, is 3.5 kilometres long in total and runs in one direction only. Culture and History

The Iglesia de San Isidro in Aoslos was completed in 1936. Its rustic appearance is based on traditional architecture. At the Reguera de Aoslos, a stone disc commemorates a former practical system: it served as a sundial for determining irrigation times. The reguera itself was used to irrigate gardens and livestock pastures.

The Pilón de la reguera is also part of this agricultural context. It was built during the post-war period and served as a livestock watering trough. Agricultural tools, horseshoes and nails for shoeing animals were made and repaired in the Fragua de Aoslos. After ploughing, the communal seed roller helped prepare the soil by compacting loose earth or, when necessary, breaking up clods of earth.

Structures of the Corrales de sementales still remain; they were formerly used for the communal keeping of a pig. The traces visible today thus point to various areas of work in which water, soil, animals and craft production were interconnected.
