The historic centre of Baños de Molgas lies along the Arnoia River beside the OU-0108 road and dates back to a Roman settlement. Its dense, compact traditional buildings are characterised by stone walls and enclosures, as well as the distinctive so-called hórreo fields.
Culture
The Ponte Romana de Baños de Molgas, also known as Ponte Vella de Molgas, was part of branch routes of the Vía Nova XVIII, which passed through the Baños de Molgas area. The Museo Moncho Borrajo in the Baños de Molgas railway station occupies two floors. One floor hosts temporary exhibitions, while the other is dedicated to the Museo Moncho Borrajo. The artist's legacy includes photographs of friends from the entertainment industry and a collection of almost 1,000 rings.
The Santuario da Nosa Señora dos Milagres was declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1982. The present Santuario was built between 1728 and 1768. Outside, seven stone chapels of a Stations of the Cross are arranged at equal intervals.
At the Fonte da Santa beside the Santuario da Nosa Señora dos Milagres stands a stone figure of the Virgin with the Infant Jesus; beneath it, water flows from the head of a pig, from which a ram drinks. Traditionally, believers come to the Fonte da Santa to lay down bouquets, draw water for blessing, or throw coins into it.
